England swaps Armani kit for M&S
England players in new suits
Footballers love to get combinations right both on and off the pitch
England's footballers are to wear suits made by Marks and Spencer (M&S) - after a contract with the Italian fashion house Armani ended.

The three-year deal will last until the end of the 2010 World Cup, and replicas of the suits will be on sale to fans.

The iconic High Street chain will also provide the outfits for England's Under 21's team and the woman's side.

The senior squad will step out in their M&S suits before the first England match at London's new Wembley Stadium.

England captain John Terry said the team was "extremely pleased" with the M&S designs, which were drawn up by British tailor Timothy Everest.

Footballers have increasingly become fashion icons, and in 2002 the then England skipper David Beckham launched a line of clothes with M&S.
