Thomas Cook, the travel company that is planning to cut 2,800 jobs, has said the UK market remains "challenging". The comments came as the firm said its half-year loss narrowed to 293m euros (�197m) in the six months to 20 April, from 318.4m euros a year earlier.
On Tuesday, Thomas Cook said it would close 150 branches and six offices, in a move that may hit 15% of its staff.
The firm is restructuring its business after a recently completed �2.8bn merger with rival MyTravel.
