 BAA now makes up most of Ferrovial's infrastructure revenues |
Profits at Spanish building group Ferrovial for the first nine months of 2006 have risen by a quarter. The group, which acquired UK airports operator BAA in June, saw net profits rise to 333m euros ($424m; �224m) from 275mn euros a year earlier.
The airport firm contributed more than 1bn euros to Ferrovial's infrastructure revenues, some 60% of the total.
Ferrovial's core profit - excluding the costs of the group's BAA purchase - rose 86% to $1.64bn.
The construction firm's toll road concessions unit Cintra showed particularly strong core earnings, rising ahead of forecasts to 430.8m euros.
