Demand for its wines, spirits and jewellery have helped French luxury goods maker LVMH post an 11% rise in sales in the first nine months of 2006. LVMH - which incorporates the initials of Louis Vuitton and Moet Hennessey - is the maker of products including Dior perfume and Krug champagne.
It said sales totalled 10.6bn euros (7.1bn; $13.3bn) in the nine months.
The firm added that it was anticipating a "very significant increase" in its full-year earnings.
Analysts said that the celebrity culture, and the public's hunger for a slice of the "bling" lifestyle lived by their idols, is seen as fuelling the demand for luxury brands.
Like other high-end product makers, it is also benefiting from the strength of the world economy.
The latest LVMH figures imply third-quarter sales of 3.66bn euros, year-on-year a rise of 6.8%.
Like-for-like sales of fashion and leather goods climbed 11% while wines and spirits sales grew 12% on the same period a year ago.
