E-mail access is becoming vital for businesses on the move |
Mobile giant Vodafone is launching its own version of the wireless e-mail device Blackberry, focusing on remote access to e-mails for businesses. Vodafone said businesses can select from several versions of its push e-mail system to cater for their needs.
This will enable more customers to "mobilise their businesses", it said.
The service has just been launched in Spain and is also available in Germany, Greece, Italy, France and Finland, but has not yet come to the UK.
The range of devices supporting the e-mail service includes the Vodafone v1620, the Motorola MPx220, the Nokia 6630 and Sony Ericsson P910i.
"Customers can choose the mobile e-mail solution that complements their IT system, whilst enabling mobile e-mail users and company IT Managers to select the device that meets their needs," said Peter Bamford, chief marketing officer.
