Games maker Eidos delays launch
Lara Croft
A number of suitors are eying up the creator of Lara Croft
Computer games maker Eidos is delaying the release of its "Championship Manager 5" game in the run up to the all-important Christmas trading season

Eidos, the creator "Tomb Raider", said it hoped to have a PC version of the game before Christmas but the release could be delayed beyond the New Year.

Meanwhile, the company said talks to sell the company were still ongoing.

The firm recently embarked on a strategic review after warning it would fail to make a profit this year.

The Wimbledon-based company has had a rough ride since early 2004 when its shares tumbled after it warned of a sluggish games market, particularly in the US.
