Fuel surcharge introduced at SAA
South African Airways is to introduce a fuel surcharge on all tickets because of high oil prices, the carrier's boss has been reported as saying.

Reuters quoted chief executive Andre Viljoen as saying the levy would partly offset rises in jet fuel prices and might be increased again.

He did not say how much the surcharge would be but said it would be effective immediately on all flights.

Airlines including British Airways and Qantas have also applied surcharges.
