| Associated British Foods - the firm which owns brands such as Silver Spoon and Ryvita - has reported a healthy set of half-year results. Pre-tax profits for the six months to February were up to 223m, against 204m at the same point last year. The figures were helped by the inclusion of sales of Ovaltine, which ABFoods bought in November 2002. The company also said its Primark retail chain was making "excellent progress", with profits up 19%.
