 Niall FitzGerald has worked at Unilever for 37 years |
News and information giant Reuters has named Unilever chief Niall FitzGerald as its new chairman. Mr FitzGerald, who will quit consumer goods group Unilever in September, is to join Reuters the following month.
He will replace outgoing Reuters chairman Sir Christopher Hogg, who last year said he was stepping down.
Mr FitzGerald has worked at Unilever for 37 years, and has been co-chairman and chief executive of the Anglo-Dutch giant since 1996.
He has been a non-executive director at UK-based Reuters since January 2003.
