Lifting more children and women pensioners out of poverty should be a government priority, the TUC has said.

The TUC called on the Chancellor to raise Child Tax Credits and improve state pensions in his 17 March budget.

The TUC predicted that the UK economy would grow strongly over the next two years, allowing the government to stick to its spending commitments.
