Depending on how much they save, borrow or invest, members earn points which entitle them to a share of the profits.

This year members of the UK's second largest building society will share �42m, with 80,000 receiving a windfall in excess of �100.

The profit share has been in operation since 1997 and to date members have scooped windfalls totalling �330m.
