Cats shot by air rifle sniper
One cat died and another lost its eye after an air rifle attack in Hereford.

The cats were both shot in the head at around 1615 GMT on Thursday in Walney Lane, in the Aylestone Hill area.

One of the cats died, but the other survived after having an operation to remove a damaged eye.

Hereford Police want to hear from people in the area who saw anyone acting suspiciously at the time of the incident.

They are trying to trace two male youths who were seen running away from the area.

One of them was wearing a blue and red long sleeved shirt, but there is no clear description of the second person.
