| Tuesday, 26 March, 2002, 10:19 GMT Ted Baker enjoys strong sales growth UK fashion retailer Ted Baker has reported a healthy rise in profits for the past year. Profit before tax was up 14.6% to �9.4m for the year ended 26 January, with turnover up by 32.1% to �62.1m. Ted Baker's womenswear saw the strongest growth, with sales up 46.4% to �26.2m, while sales in its menswear collections grew 18.2% to �31.9m. "We are particularly pleased with the continued success of our best selling Endurance collection for men and women," said chief executive Ray Kelvin. The company said growth was continuing in the new year, with sales up by 10.7% for the first seven weeks, compared with the same period last year.
