| Thursday, 15 November, 2001, 15:34 GMT Hilton hit by tourism slump The Hilton group has reported a big slump in business at its five star London hotels in the aftermath of the terror attacks in the United States. The company said revenues at its Hilton Park Lane and Langham Hilton were down 30% since September 11. Revenues at its 11 four star London hotels were down 14.7%. Chief executive David Michels said the group saw no sign of a pick-up in transatlantic travel. But trade from internal travel in the US and Europe, where the group also has hotels, is showing some improvement. "Other incidents aside, we do seem to have hit rock-bottom and are now coming off it," he said. | Top Business stories now: Links to more Business stories are at the foot of the page. | ||||||||||||||||||||||
