Day 5: Sunday, 28 January

Sunday is a day for relaxation, or so the theory goes. And the mountains, bathed in sun for the first time since we arrived, did look very tempting.

But first a number of meetings. Then lunch with our partner from Zurich who is responsible for Accenture's knowledge management work with the Forum.

We have worked closely with WEF to introduce practical support tools for the meeting. For example, delegates can now sign up electronically for all sessions, even those involving payment.

The aim is to extend electronic collaboration among the Forum community throughout the year, not just at the Annual Meeting.

After lunch, at last a break for the annual Davos walk with my wife Hazel. Wonderful crisp air, an intensely blue sky, the snow crunching beneath our feet.

And high above, paragliders sailing gracefully. And high above, paragliders sailing gracefully, "Accenture" emblazoned on their chutes. There really is little chance of getting away from work at Davos!

One of the challenges in changing our name from Andersen Consulting is to make sure that everyone recognises our new identity.

Then on to the South African dinner.

It was a great privilege to introduce President Mbeki as our guest of honour and to chair such an extraordinarily warm and positive gathering.

He has set the tone for cooperation among all elements of society in his country.

Later, well into the wee small hours, our chief executive Joe Forehand and I shared some drinks with our knowledge management support team.

It was a good opportunity to hear our younger employees' views on Davos.

Tomorrow we are discussing how to turn the digital divide into a digital opportunity. I am looking forward to the debate immensely.
