Reporter's father elated over pardon

Former US President, Bill Clinton, has left North Korea with two convicted American journalists on Wednesday.

North Korean leader Kim Jong-il has issued a special pardon for the detained reporters, Laura Ling and Euna Lee, who had been found guilty of entering the country illegally in March.

Douglas Ling, Laura Ling's father, thanked the US government and said that Bill Clinton played a large role in the release.
