Several people are reported to have been killed in two separate bomb blasts at luxury hotels in the Indonesian capital, Jakarta.
A number of people were injured in the blasts, which tore the front off the Ritz-Carlton hotel and damaged the nearby Marriott hotel.
Windows were blown out by the force of the blasts and debris scattered across the street, said witnesses.
Staff and guests of the Ritz-Carlton hotel gathered in the open space outside the building to wait for news.
The attack on the Ritz-Carlton took place in one of the restaurants. Police said homemade bombs had been used in the attacks.
The bomb at the JW Marriott went off in a basement car park. No group has yet claimed responsibility for the bombings.
