The British Ambassador to Burma, Mark Canning was one of only a few diplomats allowed in to observe the trial hearing of Burmese opposition leader, Aung San Suu Kyi.
Ms Suu Kyi is charged with breaking the terms of her house arrest.
Mr Canning told the BBC he had no confidence in the outcome of the trial.
