Rebuilding Burma's schools

More than 2 million people were severely affected when Cyclone Nargis swept across Burma in May 2008, with 40% of them being children.

At the time rescue operations were hampered by the Burmese government's refusal to allow international aid agencies into the country. Now the country is starting to rebuild.

Thousands of schools were destroyed, but many will soon open their doors again.

Foreign journalists are banned from reporting inside Burma. The majority of footage in this report was provided by Unicef, one of the few organisations which was able to provide assistance in the aftermath.
