Anti-government protesters in Thailand have blocaded the streets of Bangkok, in defiance of a state of emergency declared by the government.

The red-shirted protesters stormed the interior ministry, and attacked a car they thought was carrying the prime minister.

The BBC's Alastair Leithead said they had sealed off all entrances to Government House.
