Australia under heatwave attack

Parts of southern Australia have been suffering under a record breaking heatwave.

The country's second largest city, Melbourne, has recorded three straight days of temperatures in excess of 43C (109F).

In rural areas, firefighters are struggling to contain wildfires which have threatened homes and land.
