Thailand's new Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva has made a televised address after King Bhumibol Adulyadej endorsed the Democrat Party leader.
The step formalises Mr Abhisit's ascent to power after 16 years in politics, making him the country's third leader in as many months.
