Chinese envoy attacked in Taiwan

Pro-independence protesters in Taiwan have jostled a Chinese envoy to the ground and attacked his car.

The attack on Vice Chairman Zhang Mingqing of the Association for Relations Across the Taiwan Strait, in the city of Tainan, was shown on television news broadcasts.
