We're facing great challenges but nevertheless but we are also facing immense opportunities.
Kazakhstan is a unique nation. It's neither European nor Asian. We are Eurasian and well-placed to grasp these opportunities as a result.
I haven't made up my mind who to vote for yet, but I'm not voting for Nursultan Nazarbayev, the current president.
For me one of the most important issues is the transparency of this election. Will this election be transparent enough for foreign observers, the media and UN officials?
I want to know that my vote will be calculated duly and properly. A need for a proper and functioning democracy is what will determine my vote.
We need to tackle corruption, which exists in the current government, and we also need to maintain sustainable development in each and every field of the economy.
As a worker in an international oil and gas company, I know that major investments come to the oil and gas sector but we need to diversify and develop other fields
We need to build infrastructure, new roads, new railways. We are at the intersection of Europe and Asia, the centre of the continent. We could earn great sums of money from transit cargoes.
This is an incredibly important juncture for Kazkahstan's future. If we deny or reject the political options on offer to us, we need to suggest alternatives and we need to be constructive.
Otherwise, we'll just be like barking dogs.
