An estimated 50,000 visitors have entered the Magic Kingdom on the opening day of DisneySea in Japan.

Walt Disney Company CEO Michael Eisner hailed the opening of the $3bn theme park on the edge of Tokyo as a milestone in the company's history. It stands on reclaimed land next to the existing Tokyo Disneyland.
