Voters in the US have turned out in large numbers to make their choice for president.
The village of Dixville Notch in New Hampshire was the first in the nation to vote, opening its polls at midnight, with a turnout of 100%.
People formed queues in Georgia during the night and waited in line in New York City and in Maryland.
All presidential and vice-presidential hopefuls have cast their votes.
