Obama thanks Iowa for healthcare reform support

US President Obama has thanked the people of Iowa for backing his healthcare reforms which has been signed into law.

The health legislation must go back to the US House of Representatives after Republican objections to two points were upheld.

The main legislation was passed in the House of Representatives by 219 votes to 212 on Sunday, with no Republican backing.
