UN chief's death in Haiti 'not confirmed'

The UN has said it cannot confirm the head of the UN mission in Haiti has died in the country's earthquake.

Alain Le Roy, head of UN Peacekeeping Operations, told reporters it was only known for sure that Hedi Annabi had been inside the UN building in Port-au-Prince when the quake struck.

Fourteen UN mission personnel fatalities have been confirmed.
