President Barack Obama has said he intends "to get something done this year" on healthcare reform.
In an interview for ABC News ahead of his key speech to Congress, he promised ''clarity'' and added he was open to new ideas.
Healthcare reform is Mr Obama's top domestic priority for 2009. But opponents of reform have made serious accusations about his proposals.
