Teen assassin: 'I liked killing people'

A young American who worked as a paid killer for a Mexican drug gang has told the BBC he believes it will be impossible to stop the cartels that control the multi-billion dollar illegal drugs trade.

Rosalio Reta is now 20, but says he joined a cartel as a hitman when he was 13.

Both the US and Mexico have pledged to shut down the criminal organisations.

Reta - who did not want his face to be shown - spoke to Matthew Price in the visiting area at the Texas prison where he is serving a sentence for two murders.
