US President Barack Obama has said Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin must accept that "old Cold War approaches" to US-Russian relations are "outdated".
The president was speaking ahead of wide-ranging talks in Moscow next week, where he is to meet Mr Putin and President Dmitry Medvedev.
