Former US Vice-President Dick Cheney has defended the Bush administration's actions at the US prison camp at Guantanamo Bay.
He said: "It's tricky to come up with an alternative."
He addressed a Washington think-tank shortly after Mr Obama outlined his plans to close the prison camp.
