Twitter's iconic image of US Airways plane

One of the very first pictures to be posted from the Hudson River was obtained by a Twitterer from Florida, Janis Krums.

Mr Krums, who was on a ferry, took a picture on his phone and immediately posted it on Twitpic.

In the first minutes after the crash, his picture of the plane was being sent around the world on the internet.
