A senior American official has admitted that a prisoner held at Guantanamo Bay was tortured by interrogators.
Mohammed Al-Qahtani, who has been described as the 20th hijacker in the September 11 attacks, was subjected to sleep deprivation and exposure to cold, the official overseeing trials at the camp has said.
