Democrats reject Illinois Senator

The man appointed to replace Barack Obama as Senator for Illinois has been prevented from taking his seat amid allegations of corruption surrounding the selection process.

Roland Burris was appointed by state Governor Rod Blagojevich who is accused of trying to "sell" the seat to the highest bidder.
