Free trade call from Apec summit

Leaders of Asia-Pacific countries have pledged not to raise trade barriers in response to the global financial crisis.

In a statement, they said protectionism would only worsen a difficult situation - while outgoing US President George W Bush urged countries to trust in free trade to help resolve the crisis.
