| Wednesday, 3 December, 1997, 18:55 GMT Police in Puerto Rico seize one thousand kilogrammes of cocaine Police in Puerto Rico have arrested several people in connection with the discovery of a ton of cocaine which was seized by police on Tuesday. The cocaine, which police say would be worth around one hundred million dollars in the United States, is believed to have originated in Colombia. Several of those arrested were from the Dominican Republic. Last week police seized around two hundred kilogrammes of cocaine in Puerto Rico.
