Picture gallery: Galapagos spill
An oil spill from the grounded Ecuadorian tanker Jessica is threatening some of the world's rarest sea animals and birds in the Galapagos Islands.
It is believed most of the 912,000 litres (250,000 gallons) on board have leaked into the sea, and efforts are now concentrating on containing the spreading oil slick.
