On Sunday 11 March 2007 1Xtra hosted the very first XtraBass Awards, in recognition of the thriving state of this great British music.

L Double, DJ Flight, Bailey, Fabio & Grooverider gave 15 awards to the leading lights of the scene and honoured D&B legend Dillinja with 1Xtra's Outstanding Contribution award.
