Gaga takes on Beyonce

The two female singers lead the list of nominations at next month's MTV Music Video Awards. They are up for nine awards each. The show will be held in New York on September 13th. Lady Gaga's currently on a tour of Asia.

TCA - Twilight cleans sweep

Vampire drama Twilight was the big winner at the Teen Choice Awards. The film picked up 11 trophies including for best drama, best movie and best kiss. Kanye West won best rap and Beyonce got best RnB.

Tinchy Stryder back on top

The grime MC scored his second number one in the 1Xtra and national chart. Never Leave You featuring Sugababe – Amelle went straight to the top bumping off the Black Eyed Peas.

Is Michael Jackson the daddy?

Jacko's family are denying claims by the singer's friend Mark Lester – who claims he could be the father of Michael's daughter Paris. Mark says he donated sperm to Jacko as a gift. Jermaine insists Michael fathered all three children.

Singers take on surfers

Calvin Harris, The Streets and Master Shortie were among the acts trying to steal the show from the surfers at Boardmasters in Cornwall. Calvin Harris rode into town in a very subtle tour bus, emblazoned with his giant face.
