i saw destinys child live about 2 yrs ago now and they were wicked!Nottingham ice arena...the memories are fresh in head. When i read in the paper that they were splitting my first impression was 'shock'.But i later realised that they have been around for ages and they've done what they had to do...get money! Thats just how it is; But Beyonce will go far...but i dont think she'll carry on for that long either really.

It's sad as some might say.........but hey, it's history! Though as a DC fan through & through I hope they'll eventually find one another again for a reunion album and tour. And after having the great pleasure of meeting them and seeing the concert at Earls Court in June, there was never any doubt in my mind they would go solo. Hopefully this time Kelly will get the chance to truly shine as an individual artist and prove at last she is a true star. As I perceive Beyonce was the main reason the groups inevitable split. What more do you expect from someone who hangs out with a rapper loser like Jay-Z. Thanks for almost a decades great entertainment ladies.........long live DC!!

yawn yawn yawn so what? does any1 actually care anymore? every1 knows it was all about Beyonce (tho kelly has a better voice, but Beyonce has da better face). Beyonce WAS destiny's child and as most ppl have mentioned already B will get all da attention n da limelight while da rest will fade away (i give it 6 months, lol). Yeah it was long time coming man. I saw the last concert and it was wicked, glad i went, cos i knew they was gonna split. They had really matured in regards to the final album. You guys really need to sit and listen to the lyrics.

I saw them at Earls Court a few weeks ago and all three of them were equally talented, the spotlight doesnt deserve to be on Beyonce, it is just for the benefit of marketing, she is the most marketable product of the group...even though she is extremely talented. All three of them deserve everything they have and will achieve because i know music and they are amazingly talented.

Daang..I guess I shouldn't be suprised..it seems like they just kept us hanging for a while with the announcement of their tour 2 encourage album sales..hw ironic it is at this same tour they announce their split..? Interesting..but nobody can deny they've been an influential group, even it did seem to catapult one particular individual's career more than the rest (no names mentioned lol) but good luck to all 3 of them..Destiny has Bin Fulfilled.

To be honest, I saw it coming anyway, because out of the whole group the spotlight were mainly on Beyonce, even if you saw the whole group together Beyonce sang better, she may have sounded just like Kelly, but because of how well she is known she was the main person in the group, this in my opinion made the group want to break up!

its a sad sad day, even though D.C had passed their peak they were always enjoyable and beautiful to watch. Good Luck to all of them. My favourite track has to be Get On The Bus- that is a killer track!!! From their latest album 'Is She The Reason' was the most mature I'd heard in a long time

I'm not surprised; in the recent years Destiny's Child has become an ego trip (mainly Beyonce's ego). There must have been some real tension behind the scenes to cause them to split up directly after a new release.

I think that everyone knew that DC was going to break up after this album. It was just a curtisy album, to make it look good for the media. But they haven't been the same since, "The Writings on the Wall". And although they blew up with Survivor, that was more a result of the exposure that the break up created then the quality of the subsequent ablums.

I'm a DC fan, so im not too happy about the news, however, its not surprising! Everyone could tell that 'destiny fulfilled' was the last album. I think (with the exception of, the writings on the wall) they all make better music solo, so im looking forward to future albums by all three. im glad i got to see them live when they came to Birmingham, they definitly know how to put on a show!

Broke up?
I thought they broke up like 2 years ago. Didn't even know they were back together. It was all about beyonce anyway. She will continue to put out good music and the rest will never be heard from again. So it won't be like they ever broke up, will it?
