It's the day thousands of gamers have been waiting for.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is out and expected to break all sorts of records.

The game's already had a film style premiere in London's Leicester Square and thousands queued to grab the first copies to go on sale at shops which opened up at midnight.

It's believed the first-person shooter could sell as many as five million units on its first day.

Amazon says its pre-orders have been higher than for any previous video game.

In the UK the console versions are selling for about £54 while the PC version is priced at about £35.

Supermarkets are getting in on the action too, Sainsbury's and Tesco are selling it for about £26, the price is also being cut online.

Great game, one of the best and well thaught out storylines I have ever seen in a game, plenty of twists and turns to keep you hooked. Not to short or overly long and with lots of replay value aswell as great multiplayer.The airport level was overhyped by the media, it was vital to the whole storyline and I feel it could not have been achived with a cutsceen. Sadly had to buy it from an actual game store as my supermarket sold out of it within a few minutes and the replacements they got in sold out fast aswell.

omg the game was'nt as violent as people claimed [ people kinda over reacted a.k.a the big question [sun,15/09] the games graphics are awesom well worth the wait and money
