Australia Tour Part 1



We left New Zealand for the Gold Coast, Australia.
At the airport, we bumped into Kool Keith from the Ultramagnetic MC's aka Dr Octagon, aka Black Elvis.
Keith is on the same tour as us, and he is a living legend. I grew up on his music, and a lot of people have sampled him, including the prodigy on 'Smack My B*tch Up' and 'Outta Space'.

Dizz was talking to him like normal, I can’t front I got star struck, groupiefied. At first I didnt know what to say to him.
The only the thing that was going through my mind was...
'There's Kool Keith!' ..... 'look theres Kool Keith from the Ultramagnetic mc's', 'ask him about the Message to the Boss Remix', some obscure remix that never came out. I got over it eventually without looking like a total donut.

The Gold Coast is the main tourist spot, it felt like an Oz version of Ibiza, but without the clubs and better beaches.




53,000 people hit up this festival.




After we put in the work, we did everything out here; shopping, shooting, surfing, and drunk Tennis.




Shooting: Made you look! This is a fully legal shooting range, where you actually use live rounds under proper supervision, with safety gear. And most importantly, the proper machines.




I'm not a violent guy, but I grew up on Mad Max and James Bond, and I am a dan at Call Of Duty 4, so I couldn't resist this.
I went for the Mad Max pack.




I'm good with the .45. The stray shots were from the Magnum. You have to be careful when ejecting the spent cartridges if you're wearing shorts, they're so hot they can bun down your legs.
Dizz did Clay Pigeon shooting. He scored a very impressive 20 out of 26.




We hit the arcades on the regular.




Lazer Quest: Some people could say that we might be a bit too old for this...
Some people might be right. The teams of kids kicked our butts. We came 4th out of a 4 team battle.




Drunk Tennis: I wouldn't advise anyone to do this. They had a Tennis Court at one of the after parties.
Me and Scope were playing against some Indie band. To this day, I can't remember whether we won or lost, or who we were playing...




After the party, we hit the beach to check out the 5.30am Sunrise.

As for the surf shots.....It's probably best that they never see the light of day!




Like Jigga and R Kelly said, it's all about partying to 6 in the morning! The Gold Coast was heavy!

New Zealand Tour Diary - Day 1

This is our first tour of the year. We are currently performing on the Big Day Out Festival run, which consists of 9 massive festivals across various cities in Australia and New Zealand. It's estimated that each festival has an attendance of 60,000 to 100,000 people, and on top of this we are doing our own club nights. It's a lot!



First stop, was Auckland, New Zealand. Home of Lord of The Rings, the dude that played Jango Fett in Star Wars, 16 million people, and 50 million sheep.
As always, its Dizzee, me and Scope on stage. The first show was very very live, but the main drama happened after the show.



English guys, intense heat, a few hours of downtime, crates of water, its inevitable what happens next.
I accidently threw a bottle of water on Scope lol! Little did I know that this would turn into full scale war



Everyone got involved.



It was the biggest water fight. Kate Nash got sprayed, some Indie acts got sprayed, lets face it, some of them need a good scrubbing anyway...



Someone grassed on Scope, and he got a stern talking to by the organiser of the event. As you can see, she wasn't impressed. I was crying with laughter, it was too funny!



Then we all got told off. It was one of those, 'you should know better' kind of talks.
Not a good look for the first day of the tour, lol!



We checked out Cloverfield at the cinemas out here. This film is very very sick, it makes Godzilla look like Godzuki. The special effects on the monster were heavy.
I'm sure there will be a part 2 soon.



While we were in the queue for tickets, we bumped into a guy rocking one of these. Crazy right? People are rocking Boy Better Know, all the way out here. JME and Skepta must be making crazy paper.

Wu Tang Special this friday on the 1Xtra Hip Hop Show!!

I caught up with the RZA this week to talk about new Wu Tang album '8 Diagrams', what other members of the Clan are up to, & starring alongside Russell Crowe & Denzel Washington in American Gangster. It was a deep interview!

Semtex at the Movies (Beowulf)

I was spinning on the Babyshambles tour last week, and it was my birthday on the night of the Manchester gig. After the show it wasn't just about hitting the clubs, getting Henny vision, totally mangled and doing the 2 step with Scouse girls in some random club...

Before all of that, we hit the Cinema to see Beowulf in 3D. DAMN! Angelina Jolie looks fine....Not only do you get to see her naked, but you get these cool stunna shades too.



At the beginning of the film, the attendant said that the glasses were very expensive, and needed to be returned after the film.




OK.




I 'accidently' forgot to leave mine behind. Oh well. Dizzee looks kind of happy with his new 3D stunnas too.

Beowolf is actually an old school version of 50 Cent. Check the evidence:
