
Big names and big shows have revamped schedule!
From October 8, Trevor Nelson and Tim Westwood will join 1Xtra with new shows! There will also be a series of schedule changes in the weekend and daytime programming.
Trevor Nelson hosts a brand new breakfast show. Trevor is joined by Zena, as the show shifts to an 8-11 am slot. Great music, big entertainment and the best celebrity guests will all be in the mix. Trevor said;
"It makes total sense to be part of 1Xtra. I’ve been at the forefront of black music at Radio 1 and this opportunity was too good for me to pass up. It’s the flagship breakfast show on the BBC’s dedicated black music station. I’m looking forward to being a permanent part of the 1Xtra team."
Tim Westwood presents a new hip hop show exclusive to 1Xtra, Sunday nights 10pm-12midnight. He said;
"1Xtra have made a tremendous contribution to black music over the last five years. I'm very proud and excited to be part of such a great station".
Dev has been promoted from his weekend show to the early breakfast show, 6am-8am weekdays
Max has taken over a new afternoon show 2pm-4pm mixing news, music, entertainment and debate Twin B has gained two new shows on Saturday and Sunday mornings 6am-9am
Ronnie Herel has gained a new Saturday chart show (1pm-4pm) and a Sunday show (1pm-4pm). On Saturday, he counts down the hottest 30 black music records, as well as letting you know the top 5 films, games and celebs out there right now. Tune in on Sunday for the Basement with special guests and Ronnie taking you through the tracks that made them who they are today.

MistaJam hosts a new show featuring the best in underground flavours plus the big hits, mixes, live music and charts.
We also have House DJ Footloose and Hip Hop specialist Sarah Love presenting new mix shows.
From 10pm each night, 1Xtra now has the big hitters in specialist music - Ronnie Herel, Robbo Ranx, Bailey, Target and Semtex - representing the very best in RnB, Dancehall, Drum & Bass, UKG and Hip Hop.
Crissy Criss has also been promoted to an earlier slot on Monday nights.
