Nesha has left the station to pursue other opportunities.

If you were a fan of Nesha's show you might like to try:
Max, Jenna G or Dev.

------------------------------------

Where were you born?
London, UK.

What was your favourite hobby and/or present as a kid?
My dollies. My mum used to make clothes for them. I thought they were real, and kept them all in bed with me at night!

How you got into being a DJ/presenter?
After putting my album out, I was thinking about my next step, whether to keep singing, go back to DJing or quit and be a full time hairdresser. When I heard about 1Xtra I knew it was where I wanted to be.

Your biggest influences and biggest achievements?
My mum and my aunt, who have both taught me to know who I am, and to work hard for what I want in life. And anybody who speaks out for what they believe in or stands up for the greater good.

Key tune that inspired you?
Randy Crawford: One Day I'll Fly Away.
It’s about starting over after a bad situation. It helps to keep me strong when I’m down.

Your dream gig or collaboration?
My dream gig would be me, Sway, El-Rae and the Inner City Dwellers. It would be live in New York with support from Talib Kweli and Floetry.

Interests / hobbies outside music?
I love to read and watch movies. I love swimming but I don’t do it much, it’s bad for my hair! And I love rollercoasters, so I always hit the funfairs in summer.

Three rules you live your life by?
Respect others and you will command respect.
Listen to that voice in your head, it makes sense sometimes!
Never date a guy that doesn’t respect his mum.

What would you do if you were a man for a day?
If I could be a guy for a day?! Wicked! I’d chirps girls to see how hard it was, spit some bars, and get a girlfriend, y’know, to see what it would be like… as a boyfriend!

You get one free slap on somebody to tell them to sort it out. Who would get it?
George Bush – come on dude, all that power, and no sense? Let’s do something positive now.

What's your weakness?
I’m a perfectionist and I always want things to be right! And I’m a sucker for a guy with a nice smile ;-)

If you ran the country what would you change/initiate?
First of all, I would make money obsolete and the country would run on a simple reward scheme. The more you contribute to the country and the community, the more/nicer/better things you have in life. That way everyone could choose a career and a path that appealed to them and education wouldn’t be an issue.

Which Guinness World Record would you like to break?
The world’s longest sleep probably!

If you weren’t a DJ / presenter, what would you be?
If I stopped right now, I’d either become a teacher or a politician.
