After a chilled week off we're back!! Thanks Dev for holding it down for us, top work.
So what do Jason and Iyare do with their time off? Mostly lie-in and stay up late though Jason got to a wedding and Iyare watched a charity run this was a week characterised by a lack of activity.

I'm back! I (Dev) kept the seat warm for Jason and Iyare today and will be for the rest of the week. It's a bit of a struggle trying to fill those guys shoes I mean have you ever tried to wear two pairs of shoes at the same time! Sorry y'all been looking after my nephew all weekend and I can't seem to stop making dry 'dad' jokes..... Later aligator. Sorry.

It's finally carnival weekend and the weather reports seem positive. So pace yourself, you need to party all day and make it to the 1Xtra carnival after party to party all night. Our top tips are comfy shoes and drink plenty of water.

This has been a weekend of ups and downs. On the upside the X Factor is back on the downside Arsenal keeper Jens Lehmans fingers have turned into butter.

After discovering that a massive 1 in 9 people in the UK have been caught out cheating on their partner by e mails or texts we decided to do something about it...

So here are our top 3 tips on how to cheat safely

1 If you must electronically communicate with your bit on the side use codenames, have you ever seen James Bond getting caught out by his girl? We rest our case.

2 Be it text or e mail, sent or received aquaint yourself with the DELETE button and use it regularly.

3 Just don't do it! The best way not to get caught out is not to do it. Tell your partner you need a break first then do your dirt, it don't count if you're on a break!!

Follow these simple tips and hopefully you won't end up as one of these...

The latest weapon in the war against street crime is the skateboard police. We plan to spend the day considering what other kids toys could be applied to law enforcement. Perhaps there could be a space hopper squad or a frisbee force or perhaps if you break the law they could lock you up in the bouncy castle and throw away the key!

Today we'll be mostly worrying about the increasing mathmatical skills of the Capuchin monkey who scientists claim can complete complex computations. It would seem these innocent looking creatures are evolving greater mental capacity. How long before they're developing speech and talking back? How long before they reclaim the planet in a fit of monkey rage? How long before we are merely human slaves in a monkey nation?

We had a great weekend just trying to keep cool but this was merely the calm before the storm. This week exam results start to come out and nuff people are getting stressed out. Whichever way it goes for you there is no need to panic, we got your back!

Continuing our unofficial theme of TV shows from our childhood we take a look a Sport Billy. He had a talking dog and came from the planet Olympus but it was his magic bag that set him apart from lesser cartoon heroes. From his magnificent man bag (predating the current man bag trend by decades) he could draw what ever he needed ie if he needed a car he would pull a model car from the bag and it would grow in to a real car. Now that's game!

If you're on your summer holidays you've probably had to endure some pretty terrible weather but comfort yourself with the thought that it's not as bad as it could be. Back in the day if the bad weather confined you to your house during the summer there'd be nothing to do but watch Watoo Watoo. We've since learnt that Watoo Watoo was alien super bird who came to earth to teach us ecological lessons. Good intentions and yet probably the worst cartoon ever.

Today … we decided to help out both Dev & Treble T. As a reward for covering for Jason (who's back on Monday) we sent Dev to Ayia Napa to cover for Treble T - who had "passport issues" (shame).

Talking about hook ups we heard that our mate Kanye West has met X-Factor winner Leona Lewis and according to an unconfirmed story …" Leona was bubbling with excitement as she is a huge fan of Kanye’s and she really enjoyed being able to have a chat with him. She told friends how sweet he was afterwards." Message to Leona's man … watch out !

As Iyare continues to rain down a torrent of abuse on Dev regarding his shabby attire, Dev has been searching the internet for inspiration. A leader, a man of knowledge a fashion guru if you will, and Dev has found the man he now calls 'master'. From now on, in order to silence Iyare and challenge his 'best dressed man at 1xtra' title, Dev will dress like this........ 

Yesterday Dev promised to make an effort with his clothes today and yet turned up for the show looking like he got dressed in the dark. Will he do any better tomorrow? Join us then to find out.

Over the past couple of weeks, Dev and Iyare have discovered some fascinating similarities between each other. However today the dynamic duo stumbled across a major difference between them..... Iyare used to be in the scouts when his was knee high to a grasshopper. After laughing for about an hour Dev began to think about what Iyare would look like in his uniform

Hello. Dev & Iyare have been thinking about people who used to be on telly but have since disapeared into the notorious black abyss of x-stardom. A name which came to both of our minds simultaniously was the legend that is: Mr Motivator. After hours of extensive research, we can reveal the where-abouts and current activities of the early morning breakfast show get fit guru. 

Real name Derrick Errol Evans, Motivator was born in Pike, central Jamaica, but moved to the UK when he was just 10 years old. Over here he has forged a career as an exercise instructor, reaching a peak when he became a television personality in the early 90s.

Well, you'll be pleased to know that Evans is still going strong as his keep-fit alter ego. He has a website, offering his services as a personal or group trainer, and he has sold in excess of 1.7 million videos of his award-winning popular ‘Mr. Motivator BLT series’.

According to his website, Mr M “now spends most of his time between His house in London and his home in Jamaica that he shares with his wife Palmer, Abigail, 4 rotweilers Ninja, Sugar, Spice, Stitch, and 2 mongrels Rascal & Milo.”

Dev has also realised that he gets the majority of his photograph poses from Mr Motivator......

We had a discussion this morning and realised that Dev's haircut is the 'worst haircut ever' and that we have another thing in common. Our fave Simpsons character who is not actually a Simpson is Jeff Albertson better known as Comic Book Guy.

Today Dev & Iyare discussed random facts like, 'a duck's quack doesn't echo', and 'it's impossible to fold ANY piece of paper in half more than seven times'. Iyare also spent most of the show laughing at Dev's Bobby Brown style haircut.

Everyday we talk to Max about happenings in the Big Brother House, but 38 days in to this years series we've only just noticed how much Nicky looks like Little My from the Moomins.

Good morning. In less than an hour, aircraft from here will join others from around the world. And you will be launching the largest aerial battle in this history of mankind.

Perhaps its fate that today is the 4th of July, and you will once again be fighting for our freedom, not from tyranny, oppression, or persecution -- but from annihilation.

During the show today; as Dev was researching a very important item for the show, he stumbled across a website that lists loads of weird and random laws. The following are some of his favourite ones only in America eh!:

In Arkansas: 'A law provides that school teachers who bob their hair will not get a raise'.



In New Mexico: 'Idiots may not vote'.



In New York: 'It is illegal for a woman to be on the street wearing "body hugging clothing''.

This morning hip hop super producer Kanye West joined us for the show and so today will be all about how many ways we can casually name drop the Louis Vuitton Don in conversations.

The other day as we left 1Xtra an older lady (mid 50's-early sixties) came up to us and asked Iyare for directions which he offered graciously. 30 seconds later she returned and said 'you really should let me draw your portrait.' She then reached into her bag and brought out a ball-point pen and a piece of card upon which she proceeded to draw a wildly inaccurate sketch of Iyare. She handed over the drawing and made it clear thet Iyare could meet her at a fast food restaurant at midnight where she would do a full sitting for a proper portrait and pointed to Dev and said '...and bring your friend'. She also advised Iyare to grow his hair to make himself stronger. It wasn't until later examining the picture we realised that she also included her number.

Apart from discussing bed wetting amongst grown men, the tooth fairy being a millionaire and clubs smelling like fresh cut grass, Dev and Iyare discovered that they have more in common then previously thought..... they attended the same college. Though, it should probably be mentioned that there are many years in between the time that Iyare dragged his converse trainers across the college campus, and Dev making his appearance at the college! 'till tomorrow folks.....

Imagine this: you finally pluck up the courage to go and speak to Rhianna at some club. She's entertaining your conversation and laughing at your jokes everything seems to be going well untill you ask for her number at which point she says, 'sorry but you can't get with me untill Jay-z gives you the all clear'. That's right, the Jigga man is screening all of Rhianna's potential boyfriends personally! I mean how intimidating is that! I could deal with a girls dad grilling me but I think I would run a mile if it was Jay-z. Back tomorrow 6-9am. Peace.

DEVOLUTION- Held down the 1xtra fort for Jason and Iyare today. (it's Dev by the way, I don't feel as if I have made that clear!). Got a text about a little boy who had to go to the hospital on his birthday with a tooth stuck in his head! So I shared some stories about accidents I had as a kid (like melting my fingernail to my finger) and asked you guys to tell me yours. We had people getting hit by trucks and cars, slicing their lips open on cars and falling in boiling water! Some were so good, i'm saving them 'till tommorrow........ check me out 6-9am.

Went out to see Dizzy Dizz last night @ KoKo club in North London. The boy was off the hook, he killed it, very good show. It's all about the UK when your talking about live performances.

Woke up this morning feeling real good!!!! I'm back on the health kick, 5 bits of fruit and veg a day, it's 10:10 and I completed my daily amount already, ya boy is On It!!!.

You know when you put something off because you don't want to do it. If you leave it long enough you can forget about it all together and believe you don't have worry about it at all. But eventually whatever it is comes back to bite you on the behind. Well today I'm gonna lose a large chunk of backside (and more than a few tresured possessions) unless I face up to my responsiblity to clear out a bunch of stuff I left at my brothers place cos he's moving too. Wish me luck.

Really enjoying the new music that's around. Today I'll be mostly listening to the few new Kanye West tracks that around. Think the graduation album is gonna be the 1

For the last months I've just dumped any loose change I have in a drawer in my wardrobe at the end of the day when I get undressed. I counted up all these coins and found I had just over £70 and a few euro's. Woo hoo! I'm gonna buy me some new kicks.

Not a happy boy this morning, was meant to go see Pharoahe Monch last night but like a fool I fell asleep. my mate Ollie has text me already this morning to tell me it was a hot show!!!

I hope you had a great weekend, I spent time hanging out with family on Sunday, worked at a youth conference on Saturday at Crystal Palace FC (big up Kojo, Adaggio, Faith SFX and everyone else I met there) and went to a very amusing party on Friday where my fiance and I drank too much and jumped around like crazy people to O.D.B. records. Good times!

It's the weekend and i'm ready to get back in the gym!!!

I don't wanna whinge but I'm really having trouble working out the right thing to wear in this changable weather. Perhaps this a sign that I have to go on a huge clothes shopping spree.

Between Big Brother, England games and Kano concerts we've been burning the candle at both ends. Now all that's left of your boys is an ugly, ashy, waxy mess that only sleep can fix.

Yesterday I wore a jacket and ended up carrying it most of the day cos it was too warm. Today I left the jacket and it looks like I'll need it. It's as if the weather has got it in for me.

Loads of runnings to deal with today including lending stuff to a mate, meetings over coffee and a shopping for a project we're working on but the real biggie today is dragging our fat asses to a gym.
