After a well earned sleep, I woke up, freshened up and just about managed to workout how to get the 2nd instalment of this diary out to you guys...
More sleep, food, thoughts of the tunes for the rave, they were the only missions I was on...well little did I know there would be more….
Tonight - Tuesday was the BLAST OFF with DJ Fresh, Brockie, Hazzard, Crissy Criss, Gary K and myself launching the week with Mc's Skibba, Fatman Ragga twins and Presha on vocal duties.
DJ Hazard
First up food, headed to the food hall to find Brockie Ragga twins & Grooverider chewing the fat of flying with the minions. We all ate as much food as we could bare with our all inclusive tokens. (Ice cream anyone!!)
Headed back to my room to start sorting tunes for the show. couple of cd's later and it was time to hit the Club Colossus
Crissy was tearing the place apart as I got in, Jordan V, Shortston, Five Alive, & Bassman Chillin, tons of raver’s everywhere, and pure nice vibes and smiles for the opening night.
Ravers
I did my thing 12 -1am what an honour, rinsed out a brand new selection and things were going well, next up Hazzard, then Fresh, and finally Brockie, heads from the scene were bubbling, the ravers were on it all night (and all very well behaved I might add) seriously everyone was on impeccable form with not a bad vibe to be found... I met people from Wolves, Birmingham, Yorkshire, Essex, Kent & Lancashire, people from all over the place.
By the time Brockie got to the last tune of the night id had way too much to drink and I think the bar lady had also as she was dancing on the bar. It was 4.45am and even Lloyd the promoter was having a little bop at the back, confirmation in my eyes of a great Launch of a now fully established event in the Drum & Bass calendar...
Innovation
on the way back to my hotel we bumped into Crissy Criss on a late one with a bottle of bubbly under his arm, not easy that one I tell ya!.. Managed to get helped back to my hotel room by the nice people of innovation and that was it. curtains.......
Up, fix up, head to the Innovation bar at the beach, that was the move, sandals on the lot, you would have loved the sight of it! (I’m not going to give you a pick of this guys!) Anyway.....shared a quick cab ride to the beach with bassman a I little delicate after last night to say the least, IC3 had been arranging football matches so I made myself as invisible as poss. until it was all sorted, chilled at the beach bar while with the Ragga twins Brockie, Fat - man, Shortston and the ravers... Once again food at the hotel and sending fliers to the UK are my main mission objectives... so it’s a week long event in Loret Spain, which is now sold out. Its day 2 today, and I leave in the morning 7Am. somehow I’m getting the feeling of things not being fair...

L Double @ Innovation
What's up people just thought I would hijack Flight's diary to keep you up to date with what's going on while I'm in Spain @ Innovation........so here goes....... My Friend, Martin droppd me to Huddersfield station, for my train to Liverpool Lime street, from there it was a bus ride to John Lennon International airport for my 6.35pm flight to Spain After the hustle and bustle of check in and a late take off, I awoke to find myself landing in Gerona airport at 10pm (WHAT A RESULT) I'm not into queues and the like at airports so I packed relatively lightly, jumped straight off the plane and met my contact for the evening, we jump into the car and headed to the hotel. On unloading, the artist management crew of innovation were there to check us in and get us comfortable.
No time to waste i hit the ground "Walking" and headed straight out to the main strip. First stop Dream Bar, the bar where we broadcast connextions from last year during the football world cup.. Met up with a few familiar faces from last year Including the safest security man in the business Robbie (Great ambassador for the profession). after a couple of beers and a little bite to eat (nothing fancy Burger and chips) we wandered the main street chillin and chatting to the early arrivals.
Grooverider at the venue
most seemed glad to be out of England and the terrible weather, all were ready for the week long party. i met one guy who had rode his motorbike from England and was waiting at his friend hotel when they got there, he had no accommodation and no ticket. a true D&B soldier. (I'm on the case for his ticket) realising the time was 4am i thought humm.... maybe I've had my boot full on my first night so I retired to the hotel, well not exactly in that order, i did have a little detour of the entire block prior to finding the hotel entrance. until L8r

Wednesday 13 June
Whoa there Dorothy! Where is this year going?! I'm having a hard time believing that we're halfway through June (and 2007!) already. I've been very shabby on keeping you all up-to-date with my goings on I know, so apologies for that.
Recent travels have taken me to cities including Leeds, Manchester, Budapest, Scarborough, Cork, Dublin and Huntingdon amongst others; some of them being excellent gigs, some not so excellent..! Along the way I've eaten some gorgeous food which is of very high importance to me as you probably already know - I'm finding the older I get as long as I put a really nice meal in my belly before playing it doesn't matter how the rest of the night pans out ha-ha. The life of a DJ 'eh ;-)
This week I'm mostly looking forward to getting out of the country for 5 days - on a strictly relaxing vibe though, no work. Barcelona is the destination and even though I'm adamant it'll be a chilled affair somehow I don't think it will be seeing as there's 10 of us gals going for a friend of a friends hen party... aagh! I'll fill you all in when I get back....
For any budding DJs reading this remember Breakin' New Talent is still going strong every month, send me your mixes NOW! There's still time to get them in before the next slot in July.
Right, back to packing! Ciao for now.
Wednesday 4 April
Nausea is a b***h! I'm on antibiotics at the moment for an abcess in my mouth and they're really upsetting my stomach. I had a few bits and bobs to do today but the constant feeling like I'm gonna throw up has put paid to that.
Gotta say thanks to the guys and gals that came down to 3 Blind Mice in Shoreditch last Thursday. Bailey, Equinox and I had a little shindig where we drew for strictly non-Drum & Bass tunes. It was a lot of fun and for anyone that missed the first one we'll definitely be doing it again! The night is called 'The Unorthodox' - keep an eye out for info...
Friday I played at Herbal for the monthly Metalheadz session and to be totally honest I couldn't really get into my set as I was so knackered from the week's activities. (On one of my outings I saw Neil Kinnock walking along Chalk Farm Road in North London!)
Plus the mic decided not to work which dampened the vibes a little. It was a cool night though, good crowd as ever and Digital played a storming set - pure natty vibes a'run!
I chilled out at home for the rest of the weekend. Sunday my toothache came back to haunt me so a visit to the dentist was in order and now here I am taking meds and awaiting an appointment for my mouth to be ripped open, haha!
I've got a lot of nice music to play on tonight's show so make sure you tune in! And of course if you miss the live broadcast you can check the archive for 7 days via my page .
Ciao for now!
Friday 30 March
GUESS WHO'S BACK?!? Big apologies for the lack of diary entries. I'm gonna be back on track with this as from now, so here's hoping some of you will find it insightful, amusing or whatever!
Since I last posted I've had some excellent trips and gigs, and the mother of all birthday weekends (which you can find some remnants of via my myspace page). My travels have taken me to Greece, Holland, Switzerland, Austria, Germany, around the UK, and of course on the road with the mighty Xtra Bass '07 tour (see below).
Soo, what have I been up to? Umm... last weekend I had bookings in Vienna (Austria) and Basel (Switzerland). As I said on my show on Wednesday I had a great time but the lack of sleep b2b with REALLY BAD toothache mixed with a few too many vodkas and ibuprofen played havoc with my body.
I arrived in Vienna just before 12 midnight so just had time for a quick freshen up before going to the club, which was a very nice cosy and intimate venue! It was my first visit to the Roxy and I definitely enjoyed myself. The night is on a musical D&B tip so I decided to play some older tunes which went down a treat. I even drew for some House & Broken Beat towards the end of my set...
I had to go straight to the airport from the club to catch a 6.45am flight (travelling whilst intoxicated and in severe pain is really not a good look lol). Flew to Zurich and had to get a train to Basel which took just over an hour in total as I had to change, and finally got to my hotel room at 11.30am absolutely pooped, hungry and looking a bit of a state. I tried my hardest to sleep for a while but kept waking up every half hour so stayed awake 'til it was time to go out for dinner.
The gig was wicked, nice busy club with a good vibe and the system was PUMPING. At times while I was playing I felt a bit wobbly due to the large amounts of bass coming through the floorboards and the toothache starting to kick in again, but I managed to hold my ground.
So, after the night finished it was back to the hotel for about 3 hours sleep before having to be back at the airport, great! So all-in-all it was a great weekend with good people and vibes, but I was glad to get home to my own bed and get some rest..!
Wednesday 14 March
XtraBass Awards
The doors were open, and as invitees (both industry people and ravers) started arriving they were greeted by the sounds of Crissy Criss and MC Ayah warming things up nicely. BIG respects to you two, you did a great job
Tensions were building (for me anyway!) and there was an air of excitement and nervousness all around. It was time to get things rolling... I have to say as nervous as I was beforehand, I did actually feel quite at home after being on stage a few minutes, largely thanks to my co-hosts L Dubster and Bailey! Watch out Lauren Laverne I'm coming for ya job
The awards ceremony went smoothly with no hiccups, and the three live acts all did a great job. The crowd were totally vibing all night, there was a WICKED atmosphere! And as Bailey said it was really nice to see a lot of the industry in one place at one time as it doesn't happen very often at all. Any of you guys listen to it? Which of the live performances was your favourite? The archived audio and photos are here if you missed it: www.bbc.co.uk/1xtra/...
On to the last award of the night, 'Outstanding Contribution'. This was specially chosen by us, the 1Xtra D&B Allstars (me, Bailey, L & Crissy) and went to Dillinja, a man who has set so many trends within Drum & Bass over the years but has never really seemed to get as much credit as he deserves... anyway after receiving his award Dillinja played a special set for us including some of his biggest tunes from years gone by, the archive is online now!
So yes all in all the inaugural Xtra Bass Awards were a success, I wanna say a big 'well done' to all the winners, comiserations to those who didn't bag an award but I'm sure they're all happy to have got in the top 3 anyway! The night continued over at Grooverider's 'Grace' night at Herbal in Shoreditch, East London. I didn't get there 'til after 12 and the place was already rammed solid with a queue outside. I was playing a non D&B set upstairs, which included some old skool Garage, bit of House, Broken Beat and some 80s beats and pieces. Big ups to Keaton for filling in for me until I got there. I was absolutely knackered by this point and really just wanted to sit down haha, but the good vibes that have been ever-present during this year's Xtra Bass kept me going (maybe the rosé champagne helped a lil' bit too )
I finally made it home at about 4 or 4.30am after a long ordeal of waiting for a cab, getting some food, dropping Survival home and dropping Uche 1Xtra home before getting to my own door... pooped!! It was a real hectic and draining week but I had a lot of fun, and I'm sure I can say the same for my colleagues.
I think my own personal highlight from the week would be seeing Grimey (the BNT winner) do well in Birmingham, and the awards on Sunday. A lowlight would be witnessing someone throw up on the hotel room's carpet in Birmingham after the Break Thru gig SHEESH!! bit too much & methinks...
THANKYOU to all the ravers who came out and partied with us, shouts to all the artists who performed throughout the week, BIG HUGS AND LOVE to all the 1Xtra staff who have put in so much hard work and man hours behind the scenes to make this another great week of music, of course respects as always to my 1X D&B family L, Bailey & Crissy... and lastly and most certainly not least thanks to Neil, Rhodri and Dave 'Commander' King (wish you were there with us!)
Monday 12 March
Good lord above I feel like CRAP!! I've just managed to drag myself out of bed for 10mins to conclude this Xtra Bass diary; I'm sure plenty of you are yearning to hear the rest of the goings on lol
It's official- Xtra bass rocked so hard it rocked me into illness. At present I am nursing a cough, sore throat, headache, aching bones and my ears feel like I'm underwater. Fantastic!
Friday night's Valve/Xtra Bass do at Ministry of Sound was a really good night; nice and busy, wicked vibes throughout all the rooms and I enjoyed my set immensely. I have to admit I did let my hair down and have a few drinks so some of the night is a bit of a blur, but I know I had great fun
As I was at MoS I missed the live broadcast from Glasgow which by all accounts was another successful event. Remember if any of you missed any of the last week's events/broadcasts you can check them again on the archives here: www.bbc.co.uk/1xtra/... (links expire 7 days after airing) along with photos, and our Breakin' New Talent competition winner Grimey's video diary.
Saturday was my 2nd night off of the week, and after being out all day I decided it was best to stay in and rest before the grand finale. I woke up Sunday morning really nervous and apprehensive about how the night would pan out, and as I got myself ready and made my way to Neighbourhood the butterflies set in even more.
Arriving at the venue things were all go- Die, Clipz & Ben Westbeech were setting up and doing a quick sound check; the 1Xtra crew were busying themselves making sure we all had the right wristbands and giving us great (and much-needed) team talks. After running through the awards' script, there was just time to get a quick munch of Nandos and wait for people to start arriving for the ceremony...
Friday 9 March
After what seemed like an eternity on the drive back from Birmingham, I arrived home very dishevelled and completely knackered 5 hours after we left the hotel LOL!! I was in no fit state to go anywhere else so chilled at home with some food, and checked out the live broadcast from Sheffield's DQ Bar.
It sounded like it was going off up there! I really would've loved to have seen it first-hand but the tiredness wouldn't allow it... anyway large up to Robbo and L, the back to back set was interesting and I'd definitely like to hear of that happeneing again.
I'd just like to add here that I think so far the most amount of noise has come from the Birmingham crew, they almost took my ears off on Wednesday!
As I type this I'm preparing myself for tonight's onslaught of bass at Ministry of Sound; Xtra Bass presents the Valve Sound System. Anyone heading down there can catch me in the bar from 12 - 1.30am, and depending on how I hold up I should be hanging around after for a while to see some of the sets in the other rooms. If you see me come say hello!
Ciao for now...
Thursday 8 March
Day 3 of the Xtra Bass tour took us to Birmingham and brought with it 2 live broadcasts; first up was my show 'The Next Chapter' broadcasting from BBC Birmingham, then we came live from a night called 'Break Thru' at the Custard Factory's Medicine Bar...
After getting home and to bed at about 5.30am from Bristol, I was back up at 10am to pack my stuff and go into the office to record a mix for the Asian Network (which is going out later tonight around 12 midnight I think). Myself, Neil and Rhodri left 1X HQ around 2.30pm for the drive to Birmingham. The roads were surprisingly busy but it was quite a nice day outside so I didn't mind the travelling check the extra photo section on the XB07 mini-site for some of the sights!
Arriving at the hotel drained, I had just over an hour to relax and get myself showered, changed and ready for the night's antics. So at 7.30pm (ish) I headed over to the BBC Birmingham studios to check the set-up and have a general nose about hehe. There was a lovely relaxed atmosphere in the building (which is incidently also known as 'Mailbox', an old post office site complete with small shopping centre and restaurants), and it transpired tht Radio 2's Janice Long would be doing a show next door to ours with special guests Faithless...
The nerves were really setting in, so I couldn't really eat much of my dinner www.bbc.co.uk/1xtra/.... Then it was back upstairs to make final preparations for the show, which went pretty well if I may say so! lol. Passing through we had Jem-One, the BNT @ XB07 comp. winner Grimey, promoter of Break Thru Dan B and DJ Devize who finished up proceedings with a fresh mix. I was really looking forward to getting over to the club and seeing Grimey in action- the poor lamb was really nervous, made even worse by the camera crew constantly in his face!! Keep an eye on the mini-site for some video being uploaded soon about his Xtra Bass story...
The live broadcast itself was really good, a great turnout for a Wednesday and top notch tunes played all the way. Big big thanks to all who came out and partied, all at Break Thru, all the DJs and MCs that performed on the night, all the 1Xtra crew (solid!) and Grimey for doing himself and me very proud (I went into full blown Auntie Flighty mode lol ). Celebrations were in order after the big night, out to all the afterparty crew. Was nursing a serious hangover on the trip back to London though...
Wednesday 7 March
Jeeeeeeeeeeeeeeezzzzzzzz I'm so tired!!! Apologies for the lack of entries over the last couple of days, it's been so hectic I haven't had a chance to get online 'til now...
So. Where do I begin?! Bristol on Tuesday was off the hook..! I was super tired from the day and previous night's activities but that soon diminished as I arrived at the club and saw the queue of people waiting to get in. I had thought that the rain might put a few people off from coming out but I should have known better- Bristolians always know how to party!
The club was at capacity early doors, one-in one-out business and as we went to air the vibe was electric. Big pat on the back to TC for warming them up really well. It was so hot in there too! Absolutely sweated my tats off during my set so when I finished I had to go over by the front door to cool off for a while as the air-conditioning had either broken down or been turned off
Logistics played a good set too, plenty of Hospital beats and pieces, it was rolling. Remember to check the archives via the Xtra Bass mini-site if you missed the broadcast, and also the 'backstage' shots taken on the All Star Cam (which there aren't too many of as I couldn't get reception on the phone inside!)
It was so nice to see smiling happy faces everywhere, big shout to Sally, Distorted Minds, all 1Xtra crew and of course the ravers for making it a wicked night out! Next stop Birmingham...
Monday 5 March
BBOOOOOOOYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I've been up nearly 2 hours as I type this, and I feel like my body is still in a weird half and half state- totally knackered from the last couple of days' missions, but at the same time still buzzing from last night's launch in Oxford, AND and a little bit jittery thinking about the coming events this week what's all that abaht!?!
Anyway, we kicked off the Xtra Bass '07 tour in fine style from The Zodiac club in Oxford. I armed myself with a bag of beats and the 'All Star Cam', and travelled down with Mr & Mrs Bailey in their car, arriving at about 11.30pm. We wanted to get there a bit earlier but the horrible weather meant we had to take it easy on the motorway.
Walking into the club we were greeted by the sounds of Total Science playing a nice varied set, which I think has been recorded to play at a later date. The club wasn't packed, but considering it was a Monday night and it was p1ssing it down with rain it was still a decent number of heads... The live broadcast went well I thought, to be totally honest it was quite hard to mix on the monitors they had (they were pretty loud but not a very clear sound) but everyone did a sterling job and I have to big up all the ravers for bringing a wicked vibe with them. Hats off to Ayah & IC3 also, good jobs all round!
If you missed it live last night you can check the audio and photos here: www.bbc.co.uk/1xtra/... check out the extras taken by me & Bailey using the 'All Star Cam'
So all-in-all it was a good night, only marred slightly by someone walking off with my headphones (happened last year too) and Xtra Bass hoodie (which I'd only just been given!!)
ON TO BRISTOL TONIGHT!!!
Sunday 4 March
Only 10 hours 'til we kick off in Oxford...
Remember if you can't get to any of the events you can listen to the live broadcast right here on 1Xtra between midnight and 2am!
On tonight's broadcast: Crissy Criss, Flight, L Double, Bailey and MC IC3.
I've got butterflies..!
Wednesday 10 January
“Easy people! I'm excited about yesterday so thought I'd share it with ya...
I had a studio session with Breakage for the first time in aaaaaagges. ALIAS ARE BACK YO!
I was a bit apprehensive to start with because the last time we worked on beats we hardly got anything done, but this is sounding promising already. It goes without saying that you guys will be the first to hear it, so watch this space!
If you're gonna be in or around London on Friday night (12 Jan), it's worth heading down to Fabric for two rooms of D&B with Prototype and Soul:R runnin' tings.
Grooverider, Bailey, L Double, Marcus Intalex, Martyn, Doc Scott are in Room 2 while Room 1 is being looked after by Annie Mac, Mylo and more. Check the Fabric site for more info…
Ciao for now!”
Monday 08 January
"Hello world! Hope you all had a cool yule and a wicked New Year's celebration.
If you checked the show last Wednesday you'll know my New Year's Eve was pretty crap. A complete washout in fact, but I'm over it now so won't bore you with the details. LOL! :)
Christmas was low key, which was cool. I'm very chuffed with my shiny new DVD camcorder - thanks Mommy! - and can't wait to get out and start filming my travels.
You can expect to see some footage right here in the coming weeks - FlighTV coming on strong for the 2 double O Seven! Yeah!
I'm excited to see what this year brings most definitely! Last year was a good one for D&B. I found there was a lot more music I was REALLY feeling rather than lots of 'filler tunes'. I think things will keep going from strength-to-strength, with producers bouncing off each other.
Don't forget you only have until January 14th to get your 30min mixes in for Breaking New Talent @ XB07. Get on the case quicktime if you haven't already.
Anyway that's it from me for today. I'll be back later this week with some info on some cool clubnights to look out for. Ciao for now..!"
Thursday 21 December
"IT'S ALMOST UPON US!!! AAAAAAAAARRRRRRGGGGHHH...
I can't believe how quickly another year has flown by. I thought I would never get into the Christmas spirit, but it finally happened earlier this week. Guess how? By helping my Ma with her shopping, LOL!
It was actually quite a nice atmosphere - people walking round with smiles on their faces and Christmas music coming out of the speakers. It was very nearly tarnished by the incessant tannoy announcements for special offers, but I let them off this time. It is Christmas after all!
The archive for the last Next Chapter of 2006 is online now. Check new beats from Jonny L, Heist and 1 of my old favourites Sonar Circle - he's back baby! The future sounds of Jungle Drum & Bass...
Right I'm outta here. Wanna try and find another pressie for Ma. Wish me luck!"
Friday 15 December
"Hey y'all! This is just a quick one as I'm about to run out to do some shopping. My pesky cats need feeding!
If you missed The Basement last Sunday you still have a couple of days to check the archive. Myself and MistaJam took control and played a lot of our favourite and most influential tunes, including some reggae bits, new wave, jungle, soul etc etc... from the weird to the wonderful. Jefferson Airplane anyone..?!
I've just about recovered from the 1Xtra/Radio1 Christmas do. No doubt you will have heard some stories on air. It was a very 'jolly' occasion. I can barely remember what I played :o/
Special shout to Grooverider for the heckling while I was getting my photo taken. Thanks, really appreciated that haha!
Also big ups to everyone who attended Bassbin @ Herbal - a wicked night once again! Good music, good vibes, good company. Perfect.
K that's me out for now. I'll be back with more ramblings shortly!"
Wednesday 06 December
"Hello world! I've had some cool nights out recently so I thought I'd tell you about them.
Firstly, big up to Darren-Bridge for a wicked set at Swerve last week. Shout to the late-night Chinatown crew, LOL!
Also thank you to everyone who came to the Zan charity night at Herbal last Thursday. It was nice and busy with a wicked party vibe.
Friday I played at Vibez Recordings' Accoustixx all-nighter. Was so knackered from the previous day that I didn't get there till not long before my set, so missed a lot of the night, but it was good by all accounts.
Saturday was spent in recovery mode and getting tunes together for my 2 sets at Herbal (again!) on Sunday. Which is when it all went wrong…
The night itself was aiight. I really enjoyed my non-D&B set. Afterwards a gang of us decided to go to another bar to finish the night off, and it was here that some PUNK nicked my friend's bag, taking with it a load of my tunes! Non D&B tunes!! Tunes I was planning to play on The Basement this week!!! Screwing is not even the word that comes to mind.
So yeah, not sure what I'm gonna do now (don't think I can buy it all back in time), but I tell you I'm still bloody smarting from the loss of too much music. A good few days marred by one incident.
I'm going back to bed. LOL!"
Tuesday 28 November
"What a bizarre night I had last Friday. I wasn't playing anywhere so I went out with a couple of mates. 1 of them was playing at a girl's 18th birthday party (I felt so old).
They'd hired a rather large pub for the occasion and as you can probably imagine the sound system wasn't up to much. As soon as we got there I had to sort the bloody thing out! The EQ sounded awful and 1 of the turntables wasn't plugged in properly, so no audio was coming through the channel or headphones. Ended up working on my night off and wasn't even offered a drink for my services!! Pfft!
Anyway, a bit later there was a fight between 2 drunken girls, so that made up for not being appreciated a bit! It was quite amusing really. Hahahaha!
Saturday I went out for a family meal. My aunt was 50 in the week so a load of us got together which was nice. I bailed out of the evening's entertainment though - Scottish cailie dancing! Anyone been before?!
Saw Duncan from Blue in a pub on my way home. He'd just been to see the musical 'Wicked'. Before you ask I didn't get a picture with him as I'd left my camera indoors.
Back to the D&B! This week you can mostly find me playing out in London. Thursday I'm doing a charity night @ Herbal (I've posted info on the message board).
Friday I'll be at Vibez Recordings' "Accoustixx Allnighter" @ Cafe 1001 off Brick Lane. Sunday it's back to Herbal for 2 sets @ Grace - an earlybird D&B slot downstairs, then I'll be taking control of the bar for some non-D&B fun. Phew! Till next time..."
Friday 24 November
"Well hello there people! Welcome to the first of my diary entries. I'm gonna be doing this once or twice a week to fill you in on any exciting D&B news, good nights to look out for or hot-off-the-press gossip that comes my way, so stay tuned.
Gotta give a boost to the Bournemouth crew! I played at a night called Drumfunk at The Consortium last Saturday and really enjoyed myself. It was a nice vibe with very friendly people. You could even say some of them were 'euphoric'! LOL! ;o)
A.I and Sabre were there too. Good sets all round I think. If you're ever on the South Coast and it's on - get yourself over there!
On a totally non-D&B tip - as I type this I'm listening to loads of old music, in particular Talking Heads, Tom Tom Club, some old hip-hop, electro etc... I'm kind of 'preparing' a set or two.
One is for The Basement (during December you can vote for which 1Xtra DJ gets a besment set! Exciting!!) and 1 for a non D&B set I'm doing at Herbal in a couple of weekends time. I'll give you a bit more info nearer the time for anyone interested in checking that out.
Right! Back to the tune hunting! Remember to check out my show 'The Next Chapter' for the future sounds of Drum & Bass, every Wednesday night from 10pm. The archive is online now.
Happy listening! Mwah x"
