Miami Vice
Crockett and tubbs hit cyberspace for a grand theft style shoot em up on your PSP. Decent gameplay and graphics(Tubbs actually looks like Jamie Foxx) are let down by a funny aiming system. So this game drops points.

Scarface
Tony montana lives in virtual form.another grand theft style title but this one kicks ass. Classic clips from the movie accompanied by sharp gameplay and excellent voice overs make this a top game.

Zelda Twilight Princess
(Nintendo)
Reviewed by Renell Morgan
One of the best adventure games is back and better than ever on a next generation console. With over 60 hours of game play, the Wii remote and nunchuk as your sword and shield, huge map areas, dungeons and bosses that just seem to get bigger and bigger with every encounter, you wont be done with this game for a good while.

Star Trek Legacy: 360
(Unisoft)
You don’t have to be a treky to enjoy this game. Take command of a small task force in Star Fleet and battle against all the different alien races across three generations of the Star Trek time line. The variety of ships you can choose to build your fleet from is quite impressive, everything from the Enterprise, Voyager, Defiant and more, each with their own strengths. This game looks and sounds like Star Trek - it's full of action I just wish it lasted longer, another great but short game.

Lost Planet
(Capcom)
What a way to kick off 2007! A colony of humans have found a new planet to live on along with a new form of energy. The only thing is it's covered in snow and ice and already inhabited by the Akrid, an alien menace. To survive in these extreme conditions, humans have manufactured huge weapons called Vitual Suits to fight the Akrid and one another. Your team of snow pirates are trying to warm up the planet to make it more liveable but there is a military force called Nevec, who simply want to take the new energy and destroy the planet. You have 12 missions as well as Akrids and other snow pirates to blast through. After completing the story this game really kicks off online but sadly there are no Akrid to fight while you fight other online players, as seen on the TV advert.

Animal Crossing
(Nintendo)
Animal crossing is your own virtual life. You get your own house with a mortgage, and each time you pay it your house gets bigger and bigger! It's good for free time and there is lots to do, and with a Wi-fi connection you and your friends can play in different towns! It’s not a game to play ALL the time, and it gets a Rampage rating 2/5

FIFA 07
(EA Sports)
"If you love football games and have already picked which side of the fence your sitting on, maybe its time to reconsider cos FIFA 07 has greatly improved. With next-gen titles dropping everyday you can clearly see and feel the difference to this edition of the long-running football game - the producers have upped their game. The game play is smooth (maybe a little too smooth) and playing on-line or with a friend is thankfully glitch-free. The in-game commentary is heavy and the smallest details have been addressed such as the announcer during the middle of the game asking someone to go to the main gate. The advantage of playing online also means that during the transfer window EA adjust your team automatically for you so you don't have to worry about updating your squad - now that makes sense. No fake names or kits on here so go represent the lower leagues or the big dogs - they're all there."

Call of Duty 3
(Activision)
"The long awaited Activision title has finally landed. Features include 24 player online team battles, flag capture, death match and a new war mode where you can all battle together against a common enemy. Graphics are super-sharp although we strongly recommend HD TV 32" or above to properly appreciate them - the developers have gone as far as every blade of grass to show how incredible the graphics look. If you love first person shooters this has to be in the collection."

Spy Hunter 2
(Midway)
"Mission-based action game. Like the first Spy Hunter game, you drive around in a suped up, super cool spy car trying to complete missions while being pursued and shot at by enemy agents. Of course you get your own vast array weapons to shoot back with but that’s where the similarities end. Big time WWE wrestler The Rock plays the main character in this version of the game and for the first time you can exit your spy car, lay the smack down, shoot or fight your enemies - it's your choice. If you fight you’ll have access to The Rock's wrestling moves including the all-time favourite, The Rock Bottom. There are some interesting slow motion action sequences during the driving parts of missions that will have you nodding your head but sadly, that’s about all there is to it. This game is let down badly by its graphics and the driving physics of the spy car. This game looks like it should be on the PS1, especially when you're driving, and the car itself just doesn’t drive like a car should, it turns from the middle, not the front, making you feel like you're playing a kids' racing game. You might get some great action while playing this game if you can stomach the graphics and forgive the physics of the car."

N3: Ninety-Nine Nights
(Microsoft)
"N3 is an RPG/slashsem-up set in a time much like Lords of the Rings, where man fights goblins, orcs etc. You take on the role of 7 different characters each with their own unique attacks and intertwining storylines. Characters level up as they fight huge armies of the enemy troops, each time a character levels up you unlock more fighting moves and powerful magic attacks. As you kill enemy troops you gain red orbs that fill up a power gauge and once filled, you can unleash powerful magic attacks where you can kill the enemy troops with a long-range attack, or a 360 degree attack. Players can customizes their characters with even more powerful weapons and beneficial items, which can be found across the large-scale battlefields and after killing enemy troops and bosses. N3’s intense action will keep you playing for a good few days and although the hack’n’slash does get repetitive, there are some good bonuses to unlock."

Star Wars Lego 2

Dead Rising
(Capcom)
"Zombie game set in a massive shopping mall and incorporating brand new gaming technology that allows hundreds of zombies to act intelligently and independently. Fans of the Day of the Dead series of movies will like this. Funniest thing of note is the number of methods you have to kill zombies with, like lawnmowers, golf clubs or even kicking footballs really hard at em!"

Blazing Angels: Squadrons of WW2
(Ubisoft)
"World war 2 flying game in which you become a crack pilot. Ultra-realistic landscapes and planes make this a joy to watch let alone play as the graphics rock. Online play is hectic with up to 16 players shooting each other out of the sky. Don't play unless you like flying cos it's quite hard to master but like it!!!"

Talkman
(Sony)
"Universal language translator for the PSP.Tested this out in Germany but it wasn't as good as I'd hoped it would be. Not bad for common phrases to say but as a straight translator it falls down with a lot of the words and is over complicated by the kiddies menu."

Chrome Hounds
(Sega)
"Mechanized 1st person shooter for the 360. Looks stunning - you can almost feel the heat off the explosions. The one big problem was that the vehicles move too slowly to make the game exciting and this makes the game drag. Good try but no cigar. And the online gamers are up themselves!"

Nintendo Wii
"Had a look at the new console from Nintendo with the motion-sensitive controls. The graphics in the games on show were quite basic but the player interaction with the controller is the best I've ever played (thats big talk!). Playing tennis is really like playing tennis. Sick"

Championship Manager
(Eidos)
"A scaled down version of the PC/XBOX360 version for the PSP. Very easy to use and doesn’t involve complicated button controls but you need to have your management head on to spot and develop up and coming players. So be Sven for a while...or in my case an Alan Pardew and manage West Ham, 2008 European Champions! Lol"

Tourist Trophy
(Polyphony Digital)
"There are not many motorbike games of note, but this one is actually very good. If you've heard of Gran Turismo then this it but in the bike version. Graphically it looks real smooth and the replays are the dogs. Over rev and you're coming off, bust a big wheelie on the straight and you're falling off the back. This one is for hard core racers."

TOCA Race Driver 3
(Codemasters/Sumo Digital)
"If you want a driving game that's close to an arcade-playing experience and gives you simulation this is it. With tyre wear, real structural damage, too many different tracks and race types to mention, it's a big title. I recommend it."

The Godfather
Electronic Arts (cert 18)

Sega Classics Collection
(PS 2. Rating 12)
"A veritable compendium (yes, I've eaten the dictionary) of back-in-the-day classics. Choose from Outrun, Space Harrier, Golden Axe etc...This is gaming history at your calloused thumb-tips. Very nostalgic. I remember the days in the arcade with me 10 pence, flicking joysticks and manically pressing buttons to get them power-ups...jumpers for goalposts."

Kameo: Elements of Power

Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire

Resident Evil 4
(Capcom) PS2 & Gamecube
Winner of 4 golden joysticks and tipped to be one of the best games of 2006. It takes the horror to a new level with advanced AI - enemies protecting themselves etc. Scene and setting suits the game and the controlsare easy to use - sawn-off shotgun is my favourite. :)
