Age: 52According to legend, Dr. Dre discovered Eminem's demo tape on the floor of Jimmy Iovine's garage Born in Brooklyn, Jimmy Iovine's music career began as an engineer at The Record Plant in New York City. By the early 80s, Iovine already had a string of hits to his name, including Dire Straits' Making Movies, Stevie Nicks' The Wild Heart and U2's Under a Blood Red Sky.
In 1990, Iovine begun distancing himself from producing, and with financial support from Atlantic Records, founded Interscope with Ted Fields. Two years later, Iovine assisted Death Row Records financially and reached a distribution deal with them in the process.
