Dagenham-based Grime MC Devlin has been making music for a long time now. At the tender age of 15 he joined the Outakers (O.T) crew, and two years later in 2006 he released underground favourite Tales From The Crypt.
Devlin was also being heard on pirate radio and his increased activity in the music scene soon led to the development of a solid fan base. He was then invited by respected MC Ghetts to become a member of The Movement, a crew which also involved Scorcher and Wretch 32. Several other mixtapes followed, and in 2008 even Kanye West was paying attention, posting a video of the talented young MC on his blog. 2009 was a busy year for Devlin, with three video releases (including former 1Xtra playlisted tracks London City and Giant), a place on the BBC Sound of 2010 list, and finally in 2010 a major label deal and the release of his debut single Brainwashed.
